East Side Residence

This former carriage house was converted to a residence in the 1930’s after the associated manor house was destroyed by fire.  Descendants of the original owners made this their home for the next 70 years, preserving the interior in its original state.  JCA assisted the current owner with renovations of the kitchen, butler’s pantry, living room, and master bathroom.  The design integrates modern conveniences with the classic details of the existing home and the Asian flair of the owner’s furnishings imported from abroad.

The kitchen features custom cabinetry by Jutras Woodworking.  Kelly Taylor of KTID consulted on the project, collaborating with JCA to achieve the desired aesthetic - the perfect blend of clean modernism, period detail and asian flair.
