Raffa Yoga

In 2006, the owner of Raffa Yoga selected JCA to design her new yoga studio and active relaxation center (the first of its kind in southern New England). The owner purchased a 12,000 square foot warehouse in an industrial area. JCA assisted the owner in navigating the local zoning process to secure the approval to put a non-traditional business in an area that was zoned for manufacturing.

With the proper approvals in place, JCA worked closely with the owner and her general contractor to transform the empty warehouse shell into a welcoming reception area, a boutique, a juice bar, three yoga studios, locker rooms, massage therapy rooms, heat therapy rooms, saunas, a lounge, and a steam room. The space was designed to provide an inspiring but peaceful atmosphere that supports the owner's goal of helping clientele to learn to actively relax and to be mindful.

This has been one of JCA's most satisfying projects - one that we enjoy ourselves regularly and one we consistently receive positive feedback about.
